Celtic 6-0 Aberdeen
Celtic crushed Aberdeen’s unbeaten streak under Jimmy Thelin, powering their way into the Scottish League Cup final in dominant style.
The opening minutes were tense and measured, but Celtic soon found their rhythm. Cameron Carter-Vickers broke the deadlock with a well-timed header, and before the halftime whistle, both Kyogo and Daizen Maeda added to the scoreline, giving Celtic a strong lead.
Determined to prevent any chance of an Aberdeen resurgence, Celtic kept up the intensity after the break. Maeda struck again early in the second half, and Nicolas Kuhn quickly followed with a fifth goal before the hour mark.
Aberdeen, coming off an impressive win over Rangers earlier in the week, struggled to respond, and Celtic’s grip on the match only tightened as Maeda completed his hat-trick in the closing stages.
The Dons’ unbeaten start to the season ended emphatically, marking a painful conclusion to their 17-game run.
