Kieran Offord’s burgeoning career has seen him emerge as an exciting young forward thanks to a prolific loan spell with NIFL Premiership side Crusaders.
A product of St Mirren’s youth academy, in the first half of the 2024/25 season, Offord has netted 14 goals, including 10 in the league, displaying sharp finishing and an ability to influence games.
His performances caught the attention of NIFL’s big two clubs Glentoran and Linfield which led his parent club St Mirren to recall him such is the interest in the striker.
It is believed that Offord will now make a transfer to Linfield – reportedly for a six-figure sum – a move signalling a significant step in his career.
At Linfield, Offord will bring pace, technical ability, and a keen eye for goal. His time at Crusaders demonstrated his capability to adapt quickly to new environments and deliver in high-pressure situations.
Joining a club of Linfield’s stature provides him the platform to further refine his game and contribute significantly in the Irish Premiership.
Under the guidance of David Healy – a proven striker with a rich goal-scoring pedigree during his own playing days – Offord has a mentor who understands the nuances of forward play. Healy’s expertise can only help Offord further enhance his movement, positioning, and decision-making in front of goal.
For Linfield, Offord represents both a present asset and a long-term investment, capable of driving the team forward in domestic and European competitions especially having seen rivals Larne reach the league phase of the UEFA Conference League this season.
If his form at Crusaders is any indication, the club has secured a young talent ready to make an immediate impact.
